Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a wonderful school in the South Bronx. Many of these children come from low income homes. Our school has had budget cuts and it’s hard to get supplies we need for our children. Physical education is extremely important in school. Children need gross motor activities to keep them moving. Children are sitting all day long and it’s important to there education to get time to move around. You can help children get supplies that will help them in school.
My Project
Children need to have gross motor time everyday. It’s very hard for children to sit at a desk all day. They need to move around through out the day. Whether the weather is good or not the children need gross motor time. We need balls that can be used inside and outside. These balls will help the children learn passing skills, dribble, shooting, throwing and team work. We will have two teams once the children have been assessed. We will use these balls everyday. Every child should be able to have a ball to practice and not have to wait for a ball. Thank you for taking the time to read our first proposal.
