Help me give my students Spanish texts and Spanish visual dictionaries to increase their reading fluency and academic vocabulary! Having a Spanish library set like "Authentic Spanish Language Collection- Grade 3 (28 Books)," gives access into successful reading.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are Spanish Language learners in grades 2-5 in Far Rockaway. My students live in different areas of the community in the Rockaways and are from a variety of social-economic backgrounds from low, middle, and upper middle social-economic background. We attend a Title 1 school. Our expectation is to learn Spanish academic language to achieve reading, writing, listening, speaking and as well learn Hispanic culture. We are 15 diverse classrooms from grades 2-5 that have all types of family ethnic backgrounds-from the West Indies Caribbean, Africa, India, and even Latin America! Some of us come from monolingual English speaking homes, some of us from already bilingual speaking homes. We all are eager to continue our learning to be multilingual learners and progress forward in Spanish!
My Project
Having more range of Spanish books of different genres like fiction and nonfiction, biographies, animal nonfiction, informative texts, series books, science fiction, graphic novels, comics, and many more topics, at different reading levels for all students to have access to Spanish reading. Helping students bookshop by their own interests and having that accessible Spanish library that has quantity and quality will encourage students to pick up more Spanish books to read at their own individual level.
Studies have show that encouraging students of being bilingual and biliterate and multilingual learners holds many positive cognitive benefits like having a better attention span and multi-tasking!
