This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a classroom library in my classroom that is in a corner but there is nothing but a shelf of books. I want my students to have a place where they can read and focus on the book they pick up. To motivate my students to pick up the books and have a place to sit I am requesting these small individual sofas, a rug, and bins for them to sit on and have their own space. In my own students' words, they said, "Our library is plain, empty, and we have no nice places to sit when we are reading."
