Help me give my students access to diverse and meaningful books to experience both fun and serious books at their fingertips to open the world to them.

My Project

Students at our Middle School don't have a bookstore or a public library to turn to outside of school. Many of them have barriers to becoming readers or identifying material they would enjoy reading. It's my hope to help them explore the many worlds they can find through reading and to help build empathy and understanding at the same time. Each of the books I have included here offers them a new way to see the world. These books can be sources of independent reading. but I also plan to do First Chapter Fridays with them, too, to pique student interest.
