My Project

My students are new readers who are excited about school. They each have unique strengths they bring to the classroom that make learning fun for everyone in the room.

These books will help teach my students to put their thoughts to paper.

I have carefully curated a book list, that includes titles like The Rabbit Listened, Corduroy, and A Bad Case of Stripes, that will show diversity of race and ability while teaching important lessons about characterization and plot development.

I have been given very little funding to create this new classroom. Everything I have been given is second-hand from other teachers and right now I have no books in my classroom. I hope to use these books to inspire my students to read more books and write more stories.
