My Project

Hello! I am a passionate PE/Health teacher working with 6th graders, the majority of which come from low-income and under-resourced backgrounds. Every one of them deserve to be provided with the best PE/Health class experience.

A challenge we are facing in our community and across the nation is that the majority of our students are not meeting daily recommendations for physical activity, which can lead to numerous health problems such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and certain cancers.

It can also negatively impact bone density, muscle strength, mental health, academic performance and overall quality of life.

To help students improve their fitness and, ultimately, their health and wellness outcomes, our school's sixth grade PE teachers need a jump box, flexibility assessment materials, and other essential supplies to implement a comprehensive fitness program. This program will include periodic fitness testing, individual goal-setting, and fitness training that supports each students progress towards their goals.

With your support, we can create a safe, motivating environment where every student—regardless of background—can improve fitness, boost self-esteem, and learn the importance and benefits of staying active. Your donation will directly impact students who need it most, giving them opportunities to thrive physically, mentally, and academically
