My students need tech in their main classroom and in their "cluster" classrooms. With this new Epson projector, teachers can connect laptops to project education on science, music, art, and health!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In the age of the Internet, it has become clear that there are many different types of learners. Teachers need the tools in order to reach ESL students as well as those struggling with their reading skills. Using a projector to display rich internet content will assist in reaching these students!
The students who would benefit from this donation are in grades Pre-K-5.
Students who attend our school are from a low socioeconomic background. There are three different homeless shelters that filter into our school. That being said, my students have many different concerns and education is not always the #1 concern on their minds. However, if I could provide them with an alternative method of learning, they may be more receptive to education in the 21st century.
My Project
I want to inspire my students to be lifelong learners in a world where information is provided all around them. Using a projector to utilize the Internet will help give the students a better understanding of how to use information properly. This resource can be used in conjunction with the website subscriptions that our school has purchased in order to do whole group lessons. I feel that having these subscription without a projector will not provide the students with the full potential of these educational tools.
Many of our students attending our school are English Language Learners and students with IEPs.
These students often have difficulty learning in a "traditional" sense. Providing alternatives to books, pencils, and paper are the best way to get these students motivated. This also provides them with an alternative method of learning through spoken word, animations and music! These methods of teaching will lead to higher success rate and a better feeling towards school and education.
