My Students

My students attend school in an inner city Title I School District. Our school has had funds reduced every year. This has taken a huge toll on everyone; students and teachers alike. I have purchased a lot of supplies on my own, but need help with some of the other items that can be beneficial to my students.

By providing my students with these science magazines, it will enable me to integrate reading with my science lessons.

This is a fun way for the students to learn science and be up-to-date with what's going on in the world around them. These magazines will introduce real world experiences in a new way.

The magazines also come with online videos, games, and activities that the students can do with small groups. My students will be able to extend their learning with their friends to help make the learning more enjoyable.

My Project

What better way to learn than with a friend?! The students will be able to talk and discuss things that are prompted with the stories from the magazines. They will also offer real world situations about how the world works while engaging the students with ways they can help the environment and communities around them.

These magazines will make a difference to my students by making learning exciting and fun.

They will get vivid pictures and get a better sense of things. With the online videos, ESL students will be able to get another resource to learn the material being presented.
