Help Bring Learning To Life For Students

My students need an iPad with a survivor case to enhance their proficiency with technology skills, as well as, increase their skills in mathematics, ELA, and writing.

My Students

A typical day in my classroom consists of students being offered engaging and individualized opportunities to learn new information and skills in the areas of math, ELA, writing, science, and social studies. My classroom is full of music, movement, collaboration, and conversation.

The majority of my students are approximately five-years-old.

They are eager and excited to come to school each day to learn. There is never a dull moment in a kindergarten classroom and I would not change one bit of that. The faculty and staff of my school go above and beyond to make our school an enjoyable place for students each day. Everyone works together to ensure academic success for each student.

My Project

My students would greatly benefit from having an iPad in our classroom for numerous reasons. The main reason is that there are so many educational apps available on the iPad. These apps appeal to all types and levels of students. They engage and sustain student engagement through interesting graphics, stimulating audio, and hands-on manipulation. My students, who are struggling with a specific skill or concept, would benefit from extra practice on an iPad app while my students who are excelling, would benefit from more challenging apps.

With the ever evolving world of technology, my students need multiple opportunities to experience technology.

While they have the opportunity to work on laptops, these devices do not allow them to experience technology in the hands-on way that an iPad would. I want my students to be equipped with the 21st Century skills that will be required for success in their future careers and an iPad would greatly help me achieve this goal.
