My students are enthusiastic 7th graders from diverse backgrounds. I teach in an inclusion classroom with regular education, special education, ELL, and honors students all work together.
Nowadays technology is such a big part of my students life (iphones, tablets, etc), that I would really like to be able to bring my classroom into the digital age and tailor my teaching to the way they will continue to learn throughout their lives.
Ancient textbooks are a thing of the past. My students want to DO science, not just read about it!!
My Project
Our school just started using the suite of Google Apps. All of our students now have email addresses and access to Google Classroom. Unfortunately we do not have a lot of technology resources within our school, so we have not really explored all Google has to offer yet.
Please help us get some Chromebooks into our classroom so that we can really dive into Google Classroom, and integrate technology more fully into our curriculum.
Science should not just be about reading content in a book, we need to be able to explore and research and do science. Just like a real scientist would!
More than a third of students from low‑income households
