This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My seniors this year are troopers. They have weathered a pandemic and all the interruptions it has brought to their school experiences. Many are really enjoying
I remember when I started teaching, and we did a literature unit, I could check out a book for each student to carry home with them each night.
Now, although each student has a laptop, the books are imprisoned in my classroom since we often only have a class set.
I am giving students options about how they will create authentic notes based on their responses to the book, and one of the options is to use sticky notes to annotate the book. This option is my favorite because it doesn't include the drudgery of copying down a quotation. However, students will need an individual copy of the book in order to take notes that way.
Help me use the most effective pedagogy to build student agency and authentic and more nuanced relationships to text! Thank you!
