Help me give my students basic supplies for our classroom such as: pencil bins, skin color construction paper, a new hall pass, stickers, erasers, and supplies for our reading buddies.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are at the halfway point of the year, and we are beginning to run out of supplies. Our project is aimed at replenishing basic materials that I purchased at the beginning of the year.
We are in need of a clear storage boxes, erasers, skin-colored construction paper, a book and stationary for our reading buddy activity, stickers for grading, and a new lanyard for our hall-pass.
I service six homerooms a day and usually provide these basic supplies out of pocket, however, keeping up with classroom demands is costly. We are in need of your help because we need these basic materials to help our classroom function. Although these items might not seem like they are important, they have a significant impact on our classroom community. Access to basic materials is imperative for any classroom to function.
That is why we are requesting clear storage bins for our makers and color pencils and rulers as many of ours are old an cracked. We also need erasers for daily classroom use and skin-colored construction paper for our final project on To Kill a Mockingbird. We are also requesting stickers for grading and to be placed in our prize bin and a new lanyard for our hall-pass. Lastly, my 7th graders need stationary and a cute book to read four our reading-buddy activity. They will use the stationary for our "pen-pals" in the younger grades.
Lastly, the stickers will be added to our prize bin. (We hold a weekly raffle on Fridays; winners can choose a prize or homework pass. It is our positive reward system where students earn tickets for positive behavior.)
