This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a middle school math teacher at a Title I school. I have 4 advanced students (7th and 8th Grade) that are very good at math and are working on Integrated Math 2 for high school credit. In the first semester of this year we worked on Alg1/IM1 course material.
As we continue to progress into higher math I would love to be able to teach them how to do certain things on graphing calculators and even give them some to take with them to high school and college.
The two 7th graders could be taking college courses as soon as their freshmen or sophomore year, and sophomore/junior year for the 7th graders.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
