Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have been hired to teach STEM at a local school that truly puts the students first. The school consists of 85% English Language Learners (which are students that speak English as their second language or students that are still learning the English Language) Every student in the school will come into my classroom doors at least once a week!
Teaching every student in the school poses different challenges than other teachers may experience.
Therefore I need extra materials to ensure I am meeting the needs of all the students.
My Project
As a first year teacher, I must fully supply my classroom with the basic needs, all on my own, financially. I have added items to this project, that will really help get the year started for me and my students. The materials and supplies that I am requesting already have a special place in my classroom. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The students will use the pencils, crayons, and markers to complete their daily journals. The large chart paper will be used to document and chart the results of the classroom experiments. The materials like paper boxes, scissors, pencil sharpener, dry erase markers, etc. will be used for everyday tasks within the classroom.
