Help a Sister Out!

Help me give my students needed toiletries for hygiene. Many of our students do not have access or need these items when their parents are not available to bring them.

My Project

The feminine hygiene products requested are for my students who often either don't have the resources to acquire these items, or had an unexpected need for theses basic toiletries.

Because our building does not have a nurse a student needing hygiene products have travel to the main building in front of all of their peers in a potentially embarrassing situation; by providing hygiene products I am able to help students in their most vulnerable moments.

I teach mostly girls. Because of this, I am often the person to whom they come when they need feminine products. The two classrooms closest to me have male teachers, and I use these items to help these young women as well. I want to help my students create a culture where they know where to appropriately ask for her, and also, in turn to help others.

Many of our students ride buses or have after school sports. That means that a young woman may not see a parent or guardian for several hours. Help me help them when they need it the most.
