My Project
I plan to use all of these tools to support my students in our Title I school. While we have many resources, there are never enough resources for teaching our students essential skills and lessons that will further support their learning in the classroom.
My goal as a school counselor is to support all of my students with their basic needs, social, emotional, and academic needs.
Students who come to school hungry often cannot focus on the lessons being taught and that is an easy thing to fix by providing snacks to students in need. School counselors are a resource in the school building for all students. When they are in need, having a trusted adult with items that can help is so important. If the student body knows that resources are available, they will learn to advocate for themselves.
