My Project
My 8th grade students are bright, enthusiastic, and full of potential! As their new science teacher, I am committed to providing them a productive and fun learning environment after losing their previous teacher part-way through the school year. In addition to that, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted traditional learning environments, leading to widespread learning loss among students.
Many families, particularly those facing financial difficulties, are struggling to provide their children with the necessary tools for effective learning and this project will ensure I can provide my students with the proper tools to succeed.
For economically disadvantaged students, access to pencils, markers, paper, and folders ensures they can actively participate in lessons, complete assignments, and engage in the learning process without fear of not being prepared at no fault of their own.
For many of my students, maintaining organization is a formidable challenge. Folders and organizers can be a key element in addressing this issue. Folders help students keep track of assignments, class notes, and important documents.
Low-income students often face increased health risks due to limited access to sanitation resources. Hand sanitizer becomes a small but significant weapon in the fight against illness, ensuring that students can attend classes without the fear of infections spreading.
Board games play a crucial role in enhancing the indoor recess experience at schools and these games will provide structure for recess as the winter months approach. Beyond mere entertainment, these games foster social interaction, teamwork, and cognitive development among students. During indoor recess, when outdoor activities may be limited, board games provide a structured and engaging outlet for children to channel their energy.
