Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students enter our high school with an amazing community of educators that work together to meet the diverse needs of the community. Seventy-eight percent of the student population at our school are Latinos and 40% are English Language Learners.

My 9th graders come into high school with a thirst for knowledge and a motivation for learning.

They are hard working, care about their learning, and have a passion for science. Ninth graders are a part of the freshman academy where they are held to high standards and are guided to achieve academic, emotional, and social excellence.

My Project

This project is to help fund the necessary tools for interactive notebooks. Students will need colorful paper to take notes on. They will tape their notebook into their notes into their scientific notebooks. Rules, scissors, and copy paper are used for student-centered inquiry-based labs.

My students are curious about how the world works and need proper materials to fuel their thirst for knowledge.

Students become very excited about colorful pages, personalized notebooks, and learning through investigation. Students become critical thinkers and learn how to problem solve. With your help, my students will be given the fundamental tools for a great year.
