Help 3rd Graders Blast into Outer Space!

Help my students launch into their outer space! This project will give students hands on materials to learn about space, like astronaut food and 3-D solar system kits and books exploring this topic.

My Project

The 3rd graders are beginning a unit learning about outer space. Third graders are exploring the essential question "How do people learn about space?"

Materials in this project will give 3rd graders hands on opportunities to investigate the topic of outer space.

Students will have the chance to try astronaut food and build 3-D models of the solar system. Each ELA classroom will have a set of books that delve deeper into the topic of outer space and astrophysics. Books have also been selected to showcase the achievements of diverse pioneers in outer space.

The 3rd grade teachers have planned an amazing unit exploring this topic that includes a field trip to the space center. These materials will enhance this unit even more and provide diverse representation in classrooms.
