My Project
The purpose of the Cheer program is to promote and uphold school spirit, to build character and encourage good sportsmanship. Cheerleaders play an important role in displaying and encouraging spirit and pride for their school and are a visual representation of their school. The intent of this Constitution is to ensureour school has an elite cheer team and that the athletes have an enriching experience that provides values, benefits, and experiences for them beyond their time in the program. Cheering has an incredibly powerful impact on the student’s life as it teaches the meaning of hard work, teamwork, and perseverance. While cheerleading requires several physical skills and strengths, there is so much personal development that allows athletes to gain practical life skills. These skills include discipline, teamwork and goal setting, all while instilling confidence. Cheerleading teaches students to approach all things in life with a positive attitude. Commitment to the task at hand is what it takes to be not only a great cheerleader but a future productive member of any community.
