This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are part of an ICT fourth grade classroom located in the Washington Heights neighborhood of upper Manhattan. The majority of my students come from low-income families and receive free lunch. My class is filled with young, eclectic, energetic, and curious minds that love to explore through learning.
My students learn ELA, Science, and Social Studies within one classroom setting and require differentiated learning applied thoroughly throughout our curriculum.
To engage their curious, enthusiastic, and growing minds immediate access to technology, health and wellness resources, functional classroom dynamics, and basic classroom supplies will allow the students to learn hands-on; a requirement towards their differentiated learning.
My Project
After going more than half the school year without an in class printer, our class realized that a Wifi printer is a NECESSITY! This printer would further provide accessibility and efficiency to my students within our classroom environment.
With a Wifi printer, my students will finally print published typed projects in writing, create math and science projects digitally, and lastly the printer will allow all creative student work to be easily accessible and printed towards their growth as scholars.
Additionally, the printer will be able to further supplement materials for all of our content areas instantly by having a WiFi printer easily accessible within our room. We are an ICT 4th grade classroom with diverse learning needs and strive to provide our students with the necessary support needed to further their overall academic experience.
