I am currently a Reading Interventionist that works with several small groups daily. My small group, of 4-5 students, need extra support in reading or math. I focused on specific skills to build confident students.
My school has over 300 students and we focus on student success as well as academic achievement.
We are a Title 1 school and many students are on free/reduced lunch. My students are hard working, creative, and excited to learn. They challenge me as a teacher to be the best I can be.
My Project
My students work in a software program called System 44. System 44 requires students to listen and respond while working within each topic of focus in reading. They enjoy working on their Chromebooks but our headphones make it challenging for them to succeed with the program. They often cannot hear instructions and the computer does not always register their responses. This can make their reading time frustrating. I am reaching out for help to have a set of headphones that will allow students to work within the phonics program with ease! Let's help these readers succeed through interactive learning with technology!
