This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Heggerty materials support and target phonemic awareness skills and build on fluency skills for students who are learning to read in the primary grades. This will allow them to learn how to decode and read phrases.
Having the Heggerty curriculum, Decodable Books, and Letter Cards will help students to learn to read!
I want to set my students up for success in the future with this fundamental learning, and this program is research-based and will help set my students up with baseline reading skills that will not only help them in kindergarten, but for years to come! Using the Heggerty program and materials will help me be able to give my students a great start at being successful readers.
