My Project
My students love to learn and come to school eager to learn. At first, my students were nervous to work with me as they were in need of extra support. They are always ready to go on a new learning adventure. My goal is to give them the best learning experience and ensure that they will be successful readers. They have diverse backgrounds and range in academic ability from non-English to advanced learners and general education as well as special education students.
Heggerty Decodable Readers will provide my students with the opportunity to practice the phonological skills taught and apply them to reading.
This will help bridge the gap and meet grade-level standards. Heggerty has been the #1 choice for daily phonemic awareness instruction for more than 20 years, and the Heggerty curriculum supplements my existing curricula. Heggerty is a literacy-based program that will build literacy skills.
Having hard copies for these readers will be beneficial for my students and will provide them with ample opportunities to boost learning. Successful learners will have increased self-esteem.
