Heavy Work to Focus!

Help me give my students the supplies that are needed to use for heavy work in order to help my students focus better.

My Project

Everyone learns in different ways! Some students need to be able to take breaks and do some heavy work. I teach Pre-Kindergarten students, and this also includes students who receive special education services. At this age, it is common for students to have sensory issues or need help getting centered. I would like to be able to provide my students with some activities that will help with sensory and that we can also use for heavy work.

Heavy work has been proven to help students with sensory issues, Autism, and ADHD.

It provides a calming activity that helps students focus. It also helps to improve clarity, with attention span, and even helps strengthen muscles. The products I am asking for will help the students in different ways. The medicine balls help to build muscles, coordination, balance and also speed. Unfortunately, we do not have a place to have a permanent sensory/heavy workstation so having The Let's Get Moving Activity Mats and Classroom Calming Kit will make it easier for us to put it out and then clean it up when we are finished. The other materials, sensory ball set, rings, squish squeeze beads, gel bead shapes, and calming cuddle balls are going to be simple things that we can use when the students need to stay focused while on our rug or even to help them calm down when they are upset. Having these new materials will greatly benefit most if not all of my students.
