Heating Up Lunch Time!

Help me give my students extra microwaves to heat up food during lunch!!

My Students

I teach senior bridge math courses for students who scored under a 19 in the math portion of the ACT. I also teach a yearlong geometry class to students on an IEP. I also run our school's credit recovery program which allows our students at risk for dropping out a way for them to recover credit. Many of my students are burnt out on the school experience and need an environment where they feel supported. I provide that space to them by giving them a teacher who sees past their test score or mistakes.

My Project

Our school provides with the opportunity for an hour long lunch each day. This also allows students the opportunity for students to receive remediation. In my case, my room is open four days a week for the entire hour for students to come in for either credit recovery or bridge math. Often, every seat is taken and students are waiting in line to use my microwave.

I would like to give my students a couple of extra microwaves to be able to heat up their food more quickly and get back to work.

I plan to create an addition Donors Choose request for some food items. Having basic food needs met helps my students get the work done. Thank you for your help!!
