This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students started learning about sublimation printing last year. We created a few tumblers and learned more about the process through research and our mistakes. One of the "oops" was that we should have purchased heat resistant gloves to handle our products after placing them in our heat press. We also found out it takes about 6 minutes to complete one tumbler in our heat press attachment.
Through our research we found many others use a toaster oven to complete more tumblers at once.
We would love to be able to complete multiple tumblers at once so everyone is able to see there project results sooner rather than days later when they finally get to use the heat press. We plan to continue to use the heat press for other projects but feel a toaster oven would better suit our tumbler projects.
