My students live in the small southern Illinois community of Marissa. Due to the socioeconomic status our little town, all students receive free breakfast and lunch daily.
I am a former student of Marissa School District.
It has been difficult for me to see families in our area struggling to meet the financial needs of their children. I feel that giving my students ownership in what they are learning would be empowering.

My Project
The process of screen printing and vinyl cutting will always be a popular form of art. I would like to give my art students an opportunity to explore these processes. Making a design and then seeing that design on a shirt, sign, decal, etc..... will allow students to taking ownership of their work.
These requested supplies will also be used to help our school and community.
Signs and decals can be made to support our sports teams. Shirts can also be printed for local groups and organizations. The options are endless!!! Thanks in advance for your donation to our project.
