Heart-Warming Holiday at Home!

Help me give my students a sweet surprise during this challenging holiday season, which includes individual gingerbread house kits, holiday tumblers filled with warm hot chocolate, and sweet treats!

My Students

My students are the most caring, unique, and energetic students you will meet. All of my students are diagnosed with different disabilities, and many of them are English Language Learners (ELL) as well. They come from low-income families and receive free school breakfast and lunch. Despite all this, they are filled with curiosity and are always eager to learn. The students in my class love to engage in fun activities, especially those that are hands-on.

My Project

As the holiday season approaches, so does the end of the year! Every year in school, we have a holiday party to celebrate all of the accomplishments we have made thus far. However, this year our holiday celebration will have to take place virtually.

I would love to be able to continue the tradition of having a holiday celebration, and making it the best that it can be, even if it is at home.

With the materials I am requesting, I will be able to see the smiles on my students' faces as they build their own gingerbread houses while sipping on hot chocolate from their holiday themed tumblers. This is a perfect, heart-warming way to bond with my students virtually.

The children are the ones who are being affected most by the pandemic and deserve a memorable way to end the year. For many students, school is the only place where they can escape, feel loved, and have a chance to shine. I know that this sweet surprise will make my students feel extra special and loved during this very challenging time.
