This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Utilizing classroom microphones like the Lightspeed microphones overcomes barriers to learning such as classroom noise, distance and proximity issues, masks or hearing loss. The use of the microphones is shown to reduce time off task and less time spent redirecting students to less challenging behavior. These microphones are invaluable. They help students learning English hear clearer and no matter where you are in the room you can hear the teacher communicating while wearing the microphone. We have one microphone but have two teachers.
Our environment would be greatly improved if both teachers had their own microphones and students had one of their own to use.
This project will provide a second teacher microphone and one for students to use when sharing ideas, recalling the days learning or asking questions. As an inclusion preschool room we aim to give our students every chance at success.
