My Students

My students are in a low income area, with parents that work a lot in order to support their families. Because of the amount that they work we don't have a lot of parental involvement in the classroom. These students face a lot of challenges every single day and I do my best to help them be successful and loved here at school.

My students now have access to one to one technology with each of them having their own Chromebook in our classroom.

I have seen them take ownership of their learning and have been very impressed with the gains they have made while using this new technology.

My Project

Our school received one to one technology last year. Each child has a Chromebook that is assigned to them. These Chromebooks are used for ST Math, Google Classroom assignments, Imagine Learning English, Overdrive, as well as many other programs.

My students would greatly benefit from headphones in order to do this work.

Last year I purchased ear buds, they didn't fit properly in their tiny ears and they broke easily. The headphones I am asking for will help the students focus on their studies while I am working with students in small groups. These headphones will also help the noise level in the classroom so my small groups will be able to focus as well.
