This school year, I have a class of 25 amazing third graders who are excited to explore and expand their knowledge and understanding of the world around them. My school is a Title I facility with almost 90% of students living in poverty. Socioeconomic factors can lead to inequities in students' access to resources. I'm making every attempt to get them the supplies that they need to make great learning gains, be connected to the content, and stay highly engaged!

My Project
My students love to read and use technology. We are lucky enough to have access to Chrombebooks and tablets to use in our reading and math centers. Every day the tech is utilized to listen to books, listen to music and play math games during our center times. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to use them lately because the headphones that we have are uncomfortable, pinch the kiddos' heads and are beginning to give out.
Having these new working headphones will greatly improve our classroom environment and our small group learning.
Headphones will also help the students in the room that are not using the technology. We need these because the devices make noise and can become very distracting to others. Having headphones will help all students to be able to concentrate on the tasks that they are working on.
