My Project
Hello friends, my name is Anthony Nitolo. I am an elementary school teacher in Boston, MA. I am creating this second part of this project to support more diverse learners at my school. The first project was a HUGE success and my school would like to give these to all of the teachers and students that work and learn in similar places in this school. At many schools, including mine, there are students that have difficulty focusing on what is important due to various reasons. Some are due to environmental factors and some are biological. This project hopes to serve those students. I am requesting funding for some FM radio transmitters and headphone receivers.
These materials are essential for learners with hearing needs.
We plan to elevate our instruction by wearing a radio transmitter and give students in our classes or small groups a headset that will allow them to hear the teacher's voice at a volume that suits their needs. The headsets will direct the teachers voice to their ears while filtering out environmental noise to aid them in receiving direct instruction without distractions.
These materials will serve our students with hearing disabilities and attention disorders the most, but will also support those that are more easily distracted than others. Please help me to serve the needs of all students with the gift of hearing for learning!
