Our school is a Deaf and Blind school in Oklahoma City with very high poverty and diversity. These students have multiple disabilities including blindness and low vision. In the mornings they visit the general education second grade classroom. The classes need reliable and sturdy head phones. When the other students don't have headphones the visually impaired students are very distracted.
Our last pairs of reliable headphones have given out so we need some new fantastic ones to replace them so everyone can hear and concentrate.
They use their online learning software to practice various reading and math skills. These headphones will help all of the second grade students get the most out of the day.
My Project
These headphones will allow the students to hear their tech devices in the general education classroom. These visually impaired students have iPads. The classroom has laptops for the students. This will allow all of the students to concentrate on their tasks more.
These headphones will allow these students with visual impairment and multiple disabilities to focus more.
Students with visual impairment are very sensitive to noise. These headphones will allow the sounds of each student's online tasks to be only audible to that student.
One student has sensory issues from autism and the soft ear phones are soothing and she is more willing to keep them on.
