This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach 5th grade at a Title I school in Florida. I currently see the entire 5th grade of 79 students whom each have diverse backgrounds. The majority of my students come from low-income homes. My classroom is departmentalized, so I teach Math, RTI, and Success Block. My students are very energetic and are always eager to learn new things by playing games. They are always asking questions and love to be engaged in interactive activities that require them to work together.
My Project
I teach 79 students (the whole fifth-grade class) for math. Students are using Ipads and computers in math (instructional software programs like i-Ready), listening centers, and during test-taking. Students will be able to have a new set of headphones to be able to listen closely to directions given and feel more comfortable while doing so! Listening to the instruction on the programs/tests is critical to the students' listening skills, directions, and how they perform on their instructional software assignments and assessments. Please consider supporting our fifth-grade math classroom today. Every donation truly helps my students.
