Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It has been incredible to see how technology's role in education has enabled me to be a better teacher. From engaging kids using Kahoot to being able to assign individualized lessons via I-ready, I can harness the power of 1 to 1 devices like computers to make learning stick. However, in order to make computer learning a viable method of teaching, it is important for our classroom to have high-quality headphones for students to use.
The type of headphones students use can support their learning by minimizing distractions and allowing them to focus closely on the audio material they are listening to.
This is especially beneficial for our English Language Learners as it aids them in practicing for the WIDA tests and accessing resources like Lexia English effectively. Having headphones for each students allows me as the teacher to teach in a variety of formats simultaneously.
