Yes, it is that time of the year I start thinking about my students and how hard working they are. My students embrace their digital curriculum and work hard at overcoming the obstacles that come with technology. They are eager to learn the necessary skills to become College and Career ready. My students come to school early and often times they stay after as well, The time of year when Saturday School is offered my students sign-up to come to school and learn more.
“In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn.”― Phil Collins.
My students are awesome at sharing with each other what they have learned. I listen when they talk and I learn a great deal from them. They are eager to help a struggling classmate using kindness and compassion. I have the best class that any teacher would love to have.
This class set of headphones will be used to replace non-functioning headphones as well as providing headphones for additional new students this school year. Headphones are used during the school day in learning centers and during instructional time. Some students come to before school programs, after school programs, and Saturday school where headphones are a useful tool. My Diverse Learners use headphones to help lessen the noise of classroom discussions and conversations that sometimes causes them to loose focus and become frustrated.
Hearing is an essential component of learning.
Some students have difficulty focusing and may not hear information that is shared during instructional time and class discussion. Headphones give them an opportunity to listen to information at their own pace. Since our school's curriculum is total digital, headphones become an important tool to enhance student learning.
