I want to thank you in advance for reading and considering my proposal. I am a Kindergarten teacher. This is my tenth year teaching and my fifth year in Kindergarten. I have found where I want to be and it is Kindergarten!! I enjoy each and every day with my incredible kids.

Our Kindergarten day is filled with an incredible amount of learning and activities. Each and every student has their strengths and weaknesses and they all learn in a variety of ways. I am looking to reach all my students and one of the ways to meet these needs is to incorporate a listening center into my classroom. Listening to stories read aloud helps to promote brain development and hearing a language spoken helps children to build vocabulary and learn to recognize grammatical structure. Adding a listening center to our Kindergarten classroom wold be such an asset.

Lakeshore's Listening Center Group Table and 8-station junction box would allow me to set up a listening center that would have enough room to service 8 students at a time. Children love to listen to stories and what a great way to allow them to do this. They can even follow along in their own copy of the story matching the words they are hearing with the words they are seeing. What a great learning tool!
