My Students

I teach a wonderful class of 1st graders who are excited to learn. In our classroom, we are working on developing a growth mindset by using such phrases as “I won’t quit but I will keep practicing” or “it’s ok to make mistakes because that is how I learn.” We have a wide range of learners starting with early readers to advanced readers. Each student is special and unique but one thing that is the same is they all want to learn.

My Project

My first graders love learning through technology but get frustrated when they cannot hear because their neighbors' computers interrupt their thinking. Our school has many wonderful programs for students to learn through technology and there is nothing better than helping them learn in a quiet setting.

We live in a wonderful time with many opportunities for learning through technology and new headphones would make it much easier.

In 1st grade, using our wonderful reading and math programs on computers is so essential to learning. These students need this chance for increased learning since it is such an important grade!
