My Students

My students are a diverse group of kids that come from all walks of life. I have kids that come from section 8 housing; as well as, foster kids, and middle income students.

Due to our higher number of lower income students we are considered an at-risk school.

However, because of our middle income families, we are unable to get Title I funding which would provide so many more resources. Regardless of socioeconomics, all my students are energetic, curious, and enthusiastic learners!

My Project

My students need headphones when using computers in order to hear the programs they are working on. It can be noisy and distracting to have them listening through the speakers. Having headphones will keep the noise to a minimum allowing students to focus on their task. This encourages them to concentrate on their work rather than on their classmates. There are multiple uses for headphones in the classroom. My students use them for intervention programs, math and reading practice / reinforcement and testing. Headphones are a necessary part of our daily classroom technology. Without them, we are unable to use the majority of our online programs
