My Project

My chorus is growing and growing and boy do we LOVE to perform. We have been invited to perform at several outdoor functions in the past few years, and the portable sound system that served us well during COVID is no longer adequate for the performances we are doing. These concerts are so valuable helping the singers navigate and explore their emotions in a safe supported way as well as connect and bond not only with each other but also with the community at large.

We are considered a "school of distinction" in our district because our school serves middle school students in grades six, seven, and eight and provides rigorous academics, creative enrichment opportunities, and a safe learning environment.

Our goal is to prepare our students for success beyond our time with them in the middle school classroom. We are passionate about creating lifelong learners.

Our chorus is comprised of nearly 200 amazing students, some of whom come from bilingual households and receive free or reduced-price lunches. My chorus students are the most incredible, talented, giving, diverse students who look forward to coming to class each and every day often asking for extra rehearsal time. I am constantly looking for ways to support them and encourage them while they strive to be better 21st-century musicians.
