My students need the AVID headphones with microphones to help them listen to stories or assignments and to help them verbally answer questions to help transfers the knowledge in their head to screen!

My Students

My students are a group of fun loving and caring students. Each student tries their hardest but have faced many obstacles in achieving greatness. My students range from having learning disabilities, high functioning autism, behavioral needs, and development delays as well as living in low economic families and attending a Title I school.

I want my students to start to enjoy learning again.

My students require A LOT of redirection, distraction-free zones, and visual aids, as well as small group instruction, which has made learning such a difficult and tedious task. My students are so eager to learn new skills but when I cannot give them the tools they need to succeed I feel like I have failed them. My students work hard with what we are given so I know I need to work 16 times harder for them. They are the greatest kids I have ever met and deserve all the best to help them succeed.

My Project

Our classroom is looking for durable headphones with microphones to have students be able to work independently on assignments by listening to individualized instructions and stories.

Have you ever known what you wanted to say but couldn't figure out how to write it down?

What a horrible feeling that is. My students struggle with this feeling daily. With frustration comes anger and dislike toward a subject. The need for the headphones with mics are to help my students who struggle with getting the information from their head to paper and to help them see how powerful the knowledge they have is! It helps them see how what we're thinking in our head can be written in sentence format.

I hope with these added tools my students will gain confidence in completing work and answering questions that require complete sentences.
