This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every student deserves the chance to express themselves in a way that feels authentic and empowering. In my classroom, I believe that when students are given the tools to show what they know in ways that suit their learning styles, their confidence grows—and so does their love for learning.

As our classrooms become more inclusive, the number of students with disabilities in general education settings continues to rise.

This makes it essential to offer differentiated, sensory-based methods of learning that support all students. A one-size-fits-all approach simply doesn’t meet the diverse needs of today’s learners.

With the help of academic centers, manipulatives, and social-emotional tools, students will be able to engage with core content in more tactile, meaningful ways. These resources provide alternative pathways to understanding, allowing learners to build skills through movement, touch, and interaction—rather than just pencil and paper. When students can see, feel, and experience their learning, they not only retain more—they also take pride in their progress.

This project will provide my students with the tools they need to express themselves, learn in the ways that work best for them, and grow in both knowledge and confidence. Together, we can create a learning environment where every voice matters, every style is honored, and every student has the chance to shine.
