Help me give my students in my severe special needs classroom an opportunity to communicate and gain confidence, while having fun exploring various educational platforms on iPads.
Our small substantially separate classroom is comprised of 7 nonverbal students. These students do not have a "voice". My students use picture icon cards to communicate with teachers and staff.
Our intention is that by having the iPads in our classroom, it will open a floodgate of opportunities for our students to engage in communication with teachers and peers, and most importantly to have fun while learning!
Most of the students know how to navigate iPads, making the addition of the iPads in the classroom an easy medium for our class to access especially during transitions and free choice time!
