My Students

My students walk into the building every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. They are always ready to learn new things and are happy to be at school. They are full of life and are always just as excited as I am to try the newest thing. They love using computers, working in small groups and independently. They also love to be able to move around the room comfortably and have the choice on where to seat. They are an eager group of students.

My Project

In our classroom,​ we have math talks daily. Math talks allow students to learn from one another and support one another in their learning. With that being said it is hard for students to hear one another. The microphone ball will allow students to be able to hear one another during our math conversations.

I also have a student in my classroom with a severe hearing deficit and this would allow her to always hear her friends during our math talks clearer.

The ball would also increase motivation and students will want the ball so then they will want to speak up and share their ideas.
