Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students struggles with learning and emotional disabilities. Reading, writing and even solving some mathematical problems is difficult for my students. Most of them are from homes with low socio-economic status. My classroom is a place where students come in to bridge the gap between performance and achievement.

In my classroom, I am channeling the students to let their efforts rise above their excuses.

I am constantly finding multiple ways and strategies to ensure they are striving towards achievable success.

My Project

The posters will help my students understand what they are being taught in the classroom, while the art supplies will bring out the creativity in them. My students will be able to see visually, some of the things they are being taught. They will also be able to draw and paint some of the things they are seeing.

I strongly believe that the use of art in my classroom can further assist my students in learning.

It also, enables them to have a visual representation of what they are learning. It will help improve their memory in remembering essentials things.
