My students are dreamers and strive for change in the world. They love to read, draw, explore, and grow. They are curious about how the world works and why events happened. Each child is creative and they enjoy engaging in work that requires building or creating.
Each student has a voice, a story and they all deserve to be heard.
They come from a variety of backgrounds. Some have computer and internet access at home, while others do not. I want to provide students with equitable learning opportunities.
Our school is Reggio-Emilia inspired and students experience project-based learning. The curriculum allows them opportunities to explore the natural world, ask questions, and collaborate.
My Project
My students need a class set of headphones to use with our classroom laptops. The headphones will help them focus on their own laptop without getting distracted by another student's computer sounds.
The headphones will help students receive individualized digital instruction.
We use several programs that adapt to students' personal levels in addition to supporting classroom lessons. The programs they use include math, keyboarding practice, and reading. All of the programs have instruction that students need to hear. Several are trying to complete different lessons but without headphones, they miss crucial information and directions. The headphones will allow students to hear all of the directions and lessons clearly.
