My Students
This year, my students have remained strong and motivated to work hard in school even with the challenges brought on by COVID-19. My students understand that with everyday learning, there are constant changes and limits to help everyone stay safe and healthy. They complete their assignments at home AND in school and they are eager to learn new content.
I want to make sure that my students have the materials they need to succeed with their learning.
We are an ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) classroom of two teachers, located in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, NY. We are also a Title I School. Our fourth-grade class consists of students with learning disabilities, English Language Learners, and non-disabled students who learn together in an inclusive environment.
My Project
Individual student materials are very important in the classroom this year due to COVID-19. Students will each have their own pair of headphones with a microphone to use when they work on various educational programs. This will allow them to focus on their work. Headphones with microphones are also important so that they can speak into the laptop when needed. This is such an important feature and helps students who may have difficulties with writing and spelling. When they are finished, headphones will be stored in a hanging shoe rack in order to limit contact with any other student's materials.
