My Project

The end of the school year is fast approaching which means Summer and then Fall is right around the corner. Our students are anxiously awaiting for Summer to come and soaking up all the sunshine they can get while at recess daily. Which means LOTS of scrapes, injuries, and allergies galore! Especially with all of our field trips and Field Day itself slowly creeping up. Having many band-aids and saline wash on hand and readily available is KEY in order to make sure our students AND staff members are set up for success to continue to get that fresh air, exercise, and sunshine! With these supplies as well, we will be able to appropriately treat those scrapes and injuries so that our students can continue to play! Also, having lotion on hand for students and staff to help prevent dry skin which can lead to a scrape or tear in the skin is also super helpful!

But that's not all!

We have humidifiers in the nurse's office that run DAILY for not only our allergy sufferers but our Asthma friends as well. Having a place where the air is not as dry or thick feeling can really help these friends feel more comfortable. The key is making sure that the same water from the purifier is also clean so that it is not putting allergens back into the air.

Also, as flowers and plants begin to bloom, having LOTS of tissues on hand always is a plus. It's no fun when you are super congested and cannot breathe well. Being able to provide tissues not only in the nurse's office but also in all of our classrooms to our students is crucial during the Spring AND Fall time of the school year.
