Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We deal with a lot of sick students who miss school. Keeping hands free of germs is very important so as not to spread germs and illnesses to each other.

Our students are from low economic backgrounds and we qualify as a Title I school.

Students come to school sick because their parents have no means of taking care of them because of work. Our students are dedicated to being here so as not to miss classwork.

My Project

The sanitary supplies that I am requesting will help prevent the spreading of illnesses. A wall mounted sanitizer is something students can use as they pass it. Computer cleaners will help prevent spread of germs for all the students who share them. Students work and concentrate best when they are well. Learning to be as germ free as possible will carry over to their families and stay with them for life.

A healthy student is much more productive in school and life.

Our job as teachers is to prepare our students to be productive in every area of their life. You cannot educate a child who is not healthy and you cannot keep a child healthy who is not educated.
